SMS Terms

The program

Anne Scharp Insurance Agency sends text messages to people who have contacted the agency, using a text messaging provider on our behalf. Taking part is entirely optional, and consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything — you can ask for a quote, and hold a policy, without ever receiving one.

What we send

Only messages about an inquiry you started. That is:

• replies to an inquiry you send through this website
• follow-up about a quote or coverage you asked about

We do not send promotional or marketing texts, and sending the quote form does not add you to a marketing list.

How you opted in

By giving us your mobile number — on the quote form on this website, or by telling the office it is a number we can text — you agree that we may reply to you there about that inquiry. The quote form says so beneath its submit button, and links to this page.

How often, and what it costs

Message frequency varies. These are replies and follow-ups, so how many you receive depends on your own conversation with the agency rather than on a schedule.

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you anything for a text message; your mobile carrier may, under your own plan.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message. You will get one confirmation that it worked, and then no further texts. You can also just tell us — call or email the office using the details below.

Stopping texts does not cancel anything else. We can still reach you by phone and email about your inquiry or your policy, and you can ask us to text you again at any time.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message, or contact the office directly — a person there will answer either way.

Delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging depends on your mobile carrier’s network, which is outside our control, so please do not rely on a text for anything time-critical. If something matters, call the office.

Your information

Your mobile number and your agreement to be texted are not sold, rented or traded, and they are not shared with anyone for their own marketing. They reach the agency and the text messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf, and nobody else.

Our Privacy Policy covers what else this website collects, who receives it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

Changes to these terms

If the program changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. If we ever want to send you marketing texts, we will ask for your agreement to that separately and in writing first — the terms on this page do not cover it.
